Adoptive parents, Frank and Francine

Dear Birthmother,

We have been blessed by adoption in our own and extended family and are thrilled at the opportunity of adding another adopted child. We are now ready for a second dream come true! We can offer your child a loving, nurturing environment and adventures in the beautiful Alaskan outdoors. We are truly ecstatic about imparting our passions for life, valuing of our natural environment and the spirit-of life in all things.

Our Life Together…

We became friends while working together at a high school. During those years of just friendship, Francine offered solicited and unsolicited advice about Frank’s love life. We began dating a few years later when during a snowstorm; Frank offered to carry Francine’s 100-pound hay bale to the barn with no electricity. Standing in the barn with his headlamp on and the wind howling through the partially closed door, Frank told Francine he felt like he was in the part of the movie Tin Cup, where Kevin Costner realizes that his therapist is Mrs. Right!

My Husband… Frank

Thank God I have been blessed with Frank in my life. Frank is the most loving, playful, encouraging father I have ever been around. Amazing to many, Frank flew with Sage across the continent twice before he was a year old to visit grandpa. Sage and Frank have already gone on “boys only” fishing trips to our cabin on the Kenai River. Every night Frank reads to Sage and adds a few rhyming words to spice up the stories. There is not a day that goes by without Frank saying, “I love my little boy.” Sage’s first three-word sentence was, “Where daddy go?” Frank is full of love, lessons, and enthusiasm to share.

My Wife…Francine

Francine is an outstanding mother for Sage and a beautiful wife. She creates a healthy and supportive environment for us and her passion for life is contagious. Eating healthy is a priority so most of our food is wild fish and game, Alaskan grown vegetables and locally produced dairy. Francine works part time as a teacher and is able to do a lot of her work from home so Sage doesn’t have to go to daycare. Francine enjoys riding her horse, dog mushing, hunting, and reading. She is eager to open her arms and nurture an addition to our family.

Our Son…Sage Joseph

Every day we thank God and his birth mother for this chatty, active 2 1/2 year old. His favorite toys are balls- all sizes and shapes. Brooms and sticks become a hockey stick and even a Brussels sprout stock. He is keen on singing and dancing to nursery rhymes and sometimes altering the lyrics to fit his mood. He is fond of all kids he comes in contact with and wants to continue playing long after it is time to go. He has recently taken to saying, “I want a brother or sister, mommy.”

Our Families…

We are very fortunate both Frank’s mother and step-father and Francine’s mom and step-father live within three miles. The grandmas take turns babysitting while Francine works part-time at a charter school. All of our family members are involved with raising Sage and immensely enjoy watching him grow. He has made all of our lives more fulfilled and our relationships closer. They are all elated to become grandparents, uncles, and aunts again.

Our Home

One of our blessings is finding our home since there is room for our horses, dogs, cats, and kids! Our patio has a basketball hoop and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows while we have plenty of room on the inside with extra bedrooms, bathrooms and a view facing nightly sunsets. Francine decorated the nursery which is attached to the master bedroom, in pink and baby blue. She stenciled bears and moose on the wall and words we live by: “hope, dream, imagine, and believe.”
