When you really let go and let God, you can see how He will bless you. After many unsuccessful attempts at having a biological child, I woke up one morning and decided that I was now ready to adopt. After making this pronouncement to my ever supportive husband, Maurice, we began our journey to become a family.

Alyssa is wonderful. She is beautiful and growing every day. She is now smiling, laughing, "talking" and rolling from her belly to her back. I pray that this letter captures you and all the Lifetime staff in great spirits! Kellington James turned 8 weeks yesterday and he is the joy of my life! I am happier than I have ever been in my entire life!!!

Kellington is such a blessing and God continues to show us how much His hands are on our lives. Kellington has been smiling since he was two weeks old and loves cuddling. He is the love of my life and I thank God everyday for sending me something as wonderful as him.

I cannot wait to adopt through Lifetime again in the very near future! This has been such a pleasant experience and I have already referred a few families to you all knowing that they will be blessed as well. Thank you for everything, but most importantly, thank you for helping make my dreams come true.

Dear Lifetime,

Our precious little Karli was born Oct. 2nd. Her big sister Kaci thinks she is just perfect as do we!!!

We just wanted to thank you for all your effort and support throughout both our adoptions. We feel totally blessed to have found Lifetime and know this was God's plan for both our girls to come to us through adoption. Not only do we have the most precious, beautiful, happy and healthy little angels but also two sets of loving, caring and giving birthparents that we love dearly and are truly blessed to have such open and honest relationships with.

Words are inadequate to express our appreciation for our coordinator, Diane, and the Lifetime staff. What a special blessing Mardie Caldwell is, who walks in the path of righteousness and serves her calling faithfully in efficient adoption "ministry." Only three months after being led to Lifetime, we have a testimony of being matched with a wonderful birthmother and now sit gazing upon the beautiful eyes of our healthy "perfect" baby girl (and sister). Greetings! Nicholas is doing wonderful. He is a healthy, and may I say very energetic, little boy. He is pulling up and trying to walk. So every spare moment I have is keeping him out of things. Dear Lifetime,

We are writing to say thank you for making our dreams come true! Charlie will be six months old on Sunday and, as you can see, is the happiest baby in the world. Charlie is loved by everyone he meets especially his big brother, grandmother, and aunt and uncle.

He is a flirt and wakes up smiling every day! While our journey was definitely full of surprises and a few bumps, the reward is the most amazing gift in the world. We decided to pursue adoption in December, put our profile on the website in March, and were matched in three days. Charlie was born a week later. Our birthmother is a wonderful woman and we were lucky enough to spend time with her and her family during our three-week stay in her hometown. The staff at Lifetime held our hands and calmed us down as we went from being new Prospective Adoptive Parents... to Expectant Parents in three days... and then Mommy and Daddy ten days after that.

Hello to Our Coordinator,

We are doing wonderfully. Leighla had her two month check up last week and she's over 10 lbs and 22 inches long. She started sleeping through the night around four weeks. She has huge brown eyes, sweet plump cheeks and a smile that melts your heart. She and Connor (our son) are truly our angels. Leighla has all of us wrapped around her finger, especially her big brother who will sit quietly to feed her, rock her, and read to her. Connor's pretty excited to take her trick-or-treating. We think he knows he'll get her share of the candy when the night's over!

Leighla's birthmother emailed us last weekend. She sounds like she is doing really well. I responded back and sent her some pictures of Leighla. It was great to hear from her and be able to show her how Leighla is thriving.

Hello! Here are two recent pictures that I thought you might like to see.  The first one is of Jamal just a few weeks ago when his birthmom and his birthgrandmother came up to visit for three days. We were so excited to see them and for them to see Jamal. God really has blessed us all so much that it is hard to comprehend sometimes. 

The second picture is of our family from my brother's wedding this last weekend.  Jamal will be four months old soon and he started sleeping through the night last week (YEAH)!  He is such a happy and healthy baby.  Thank you again for the important parts that you have played in helping us come together as a family.

Jamal will be three months old tomorrow already.  He is now 13lbs 7oz.  He has recently discovered the wonder of his sister.  He loves to watch her and will smile really big when she talks to him and "pets" him. 

He also has discovered his voice; even to the point where he startles himself.

Dear Lifetime Family,
Can I tell you how in love I am? Christopher is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen in my life!!! He is my dream come true, and to you I owe a debt of gratitude.

Christopher Alexander was born last October weighing eight pounds and two ounces. Unfortunately, I missed his birth, but shortly after he turned 24 hours old, my mother and I were able to hold our beautiful bundle we call "our boy" and spent the day just loving him and trying to tell him everything about everyone in the family so he would be prepared when he got to meet them! We were blessed to be able to meet not only his birthmother (who is just an absolute doll), but also his birth grandmother. Both are very loving, wonderful and strong women. They brought a family picture for us so that Christopher can see his birthfamily - grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and siblings included. I keep it in a frame in his room so he can see himself how much he has his birthmother's beautiful eyes and big smile.

This adoption journey has truly been the most wonderful experience of my life, even with having two birthmothers change their minds. I KNOW that I have the child that I was meant to have. Please, PLEASE, other adoptive families - NEVER give up!!! Your child is waiting for you! (And it may not be the child you think). Trust me when I say that when he (or she) comes into your lives, you will know instantly that this is your child, and it was truly meant to be.

Christopher turned seven months the day before Mother's Day and is crawling and trying to stand on his own and take steps already! Every time I look into his beautiful dark eyes, I know I have been blessed.

Thank you so very much Lifetime, especially the coordinators who spent MANY hours on the phone calming, comforting and encouraging me, for bringing this beautiful boy and his wonderful birth family into my life.
